How does a person become a Christian?
You might want to consider the following questions before continuing with our
discussion concerning becoming a Christian:
Are you a Christian?
If so, how did you become a Christian?
Few questions divide the religious world as much as this one. And perhaps no question
is as critical.
Does the answer to this question make any difference?
How does the Bible answer this question?
Salvation is available only from one source. By the grace of God, our sins are washed
away by the blood of Jesus. But how does this work? Does it require anything from us?
We must be washed in blood of Jesus through the Word
What is a "washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit"?

Does baptism have anything to do with this process?
How does it work?
We must hear the Gospel message.
Can we find salvation through our feelings without knowledge of God's plan?
According to these verses, can a person become a Christian without hearing the Gospel
We must believe the Gospel message.
According to this verse, can a person become a Christian without believing the Gospel
We must repent...turn away from our former lives.
According to this verse, can a person become a Christian without repenting?
Can a person repent and yet continue to live in the sins of the past?
We must confess Jesus as Lord.
According to this verse, can a person become a Christian without confessing?
Can we confess with our tongues but not with our lives (Matthew 7:21, Luke 6:46)?
We must be baptized...immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins.
What form does this passage indicate for baptism?
According to the passages we have considered, does baptism accomplish anything without
hearing, believing, repenting and confessing?
Can an infant do any of these things?
Does an infant need to do any of these things (Matthew 18:3)?
Can a person become a Christian without being baptized?
