Jesus' Final Discourses With His Apostles
From Temple to Mt. of Olives
|MAT 24:1 And Jesus came out from the temple and
was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
MAT 24:2 And He answered and said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here shall be left upon another, which will not be torn down."
MAT 24:3 ¶ And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
|MAR 13:1 And as He was going out of the temple,
one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, behold what wonderful stones and what
MAR 13:2 And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another which will not be torn down."
MAR 13:3 ¶ And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately,
MAR 13:4 "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?"
|LUK 21:5 ¶ And while some were talking about the
temple, that it was adorned with beautiful stones and votive gifts, He said,
LUK 21:6 "As for these things which you are looking at, the days will come in
which there will not be left one stone upon another which will not be torn down."
LUK 21:7 And they questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, when therefore will these things be? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?"

|MAT 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them,
"See to it that no one misleads you.
MAT 24:5 "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.
MAT 24:6 "And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
MAT 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.
MAT 24:8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
MAT 24:9 "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name.
MAR 13:5 And Jesus began to say to them, "See to it that no one misleads you.

MAR 13:9 ¶ "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and
you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for
My sake, as a testimony to them.
but the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.
LUK 21:8 And He said, "See to it that you
be not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time is at
hand'; do not go after them.
LUK 21:13 "It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony.
Abomination of Desolation
|MAT 24:15 ¶ "Therefore when you see the
abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the
holy place (let the reader understand),
MAT 24:16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;
MAT 24:23 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He
is,' do not believe him.

abomination of desolation

then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
MAR 13:21 "And then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ'; or,

Coming of the Son of Man
|MAT 24:29 ¶ "But immediately after the
tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will fall from the sky,

tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,

and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

Recognize the Signs...But No One Will Know the Time
when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that
summer is near.

LUK 21:31 "Even so you, too, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.

LUK 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
Be on the Alert
MAT 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is
|MAR 13:33 ¶ "Take heed, keep on the alert;
for you do not know when the appointed time is.
MAR 13:34 "It is like a man, away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.
MAR 13:35 "Therefore, be on the alert-- for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, at cockcrowing, or in the morning--
MAR 13:36 lest he come suddenly and find you asleep.

may not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and
that day come on you suddenly like a trap;

Preparation for Passover
|MAT 26:17 ¶ Now on the first day of Unleavened
Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying,
"Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?"
MAT 26:18 And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him,
'The Teacher says," My time is at hand; I am to keep the Passover at your house
with My disciples. "'"
MAT 26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the

Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, "Where
do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?"
MAR 14:13 And He sent two of His disciples, and said to them,

MAR 14:18 And as they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me-- one who is eating with Me."
MAR 14:19 They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, "Surely not I?"
MAR 14:20 And He said to them,

betraying Me is with Me on the table.
LUK 22:22 "For indeed, the Son of Man is going as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!"
LUK 22:23 And they began to discuss among themselves which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing.
|JOH 13:21 ¶ When Jesus had said this, He became
troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of
you will betray Me."
So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon
